35: Movies Are Not Screwdrivers (George Feltenstein)

May 9, 2013 at 4:00PM • 1 hour 33 minutes • Wiki Entry

Warner Archive's George Feltenstein discusses the new Warner Archive Instant channel's rare and hard-to-find content, from the super-cult and obscure to the under-appreciated. He discusses the importance of quality presentation, his role in driving home video forward during the laserdisc era, and great cinema in general.

It's worth noting that Warner Archive did NOT recently swipe content from Netflix, contrary to misreporting all over the net. We start by dispelling that and quickly move on to look at what Warner Archive IS doing: changing the way home video works, with the leverage of the largest library in Hollywood.
