Glenn Fleishman is a journalist who freelances regularly for the Economist, Macworld, and The Seattle Times. He's an editor at the Mac publication TidBITS, where he built its content-management system out of raw ones and zeroes, mining them from the hard earth. Glenn either knows everybody, has a story about them, or knows someone who knows that person. He will often introduce anecdotes on the show with, "As I asked Matt Groening..." or "You know, Cory Doctorow said to me...", or "I once got food poisoning from a dish recommended by Stephen Fry." Glenn is also a professional gibberish writer. He has the check stub to prove it.
