Filipe Fortes is the creator of "Treesaver.js":http://www.treesaver.js, an open-source JavaScript framework for creating magazine-style layouts using standards-compliant HTML and CSS. Prior to Treesaver, Filipe was a Program Manager at Microsoft, where he worked on UI & Document layout APIs for the .NET platform. Collaborating with the New York Times, Filipe led the design and development of the Times Reader, the first desktop news reader with dynamic, multi-column layout usable on multiple screen sizes. In 2010, he teamed up with renowned designer Roger Black to found Treesaver, a company dedicated to creating the future of cross-platform digital publishing.
