This week's questions:

  • Very stressed out guy asks, "Both my girlfriend’s parents and my own are divorced. It is terribly difficult around the holidays. It's exactly like the movie Four Christmases. How could we make all parties happy while keeping our sanity?”
  • Anonymous asks, "I recently found out that my 23-year-old daughter has a blog about her s***** exploits via a third party. She uses a pseudonym, posts pictures that are not of her face, and is very compelling in the way she writes about her experiences. The only reason why I even knew it was her was that one of the pictures was taken on the childhood bed she has in my home. My major concern is that she talks mostly about be degraded during s**. At certain points she even posted pictures of bruises and cuts on her stomach. This really concerns me, and I don’t know how to have a conversation about this.”
  • Marienne writes, “I bought a used camera online, on Craigslist, and they didn’t erase the flash card and the flash card had amateur porn on it. He didn’t look like the young man I bought the camera from, but it could have been. All the photographs were taken of his midsection and the lady’s midsection, or closeups of their genitals, or the sides of their bodies. And the room was very dim so it was difficult to make out a face. The hair color was the same as far as my eye could see. I am not sure if I should return the card or tell them. My son said he would return it for me. Is that appropriate? Help me!"
  • Emma G asks: I’ve been on maternity leave for the past couple months and recently heard that my boss told my co-worker she hoped I wouldn’t come back. My boss likes to control and belittle everyone but I try to ignore it and get my work done which I think makes her hate me more. I was planning on returning to work in a couple months – how should I handle the situation?

We also discussed this Gawker story about two people who died trying to retrieve a $300 smartphone from a giant pit toilet filed with s***.
