June 16, 2014 at 4:45PM • 1 hour 45 minutes

Jeff and Christian are joined by the very first member of the DLC 5-Timers Club, Garnett Lee, from Garnett on Games to work through all of the post-E3 news. First up, it is the Destiny Alpha, which has been making a good first impression all weekend long. Christian is perplexed by the discovery of great graphics setting hidden inside the PC code for Watch_Dogs. And Jeff hopes the fate of the Wii U has been improved by the strong sales of Mario Kart 8. Plus, PS4 side-by-side with PS3 of the GTA V trailer looks really pretty, but what does that mean for graphics on this new generation of consoles?

In the Playlist, Garnett and Christian have been playing tons of Destiny, and have a lot to say about it. Jeff has been playing Wild Star and is trying to find the love. And Christian has some feeling about Battlefield: Hardline.

For Tabletop Time, Jeff wants to highlight the winners of this weekend's Origins Awards, including Numenera, Love Letter, and Trains.

May 26, 2014 at 4:15PM • 1 hour 43 minutes

Jeff and Christian welcome their buddy Garnett Lee back to DLC for the 4th time. Garnett is the host of Garnett on Games and the John + Garnett podcasts. This week, he's talking about the contrast between hype and reality in games, specifically with Watch Dogs being released. Christian is interested in the PS4 being released in China, and Jeff is overwhelmed by the massive number of games released on Steam already in 2014. Plus, the guys ponder Amplitude's intense Kickstarter and the free Wii U game that Nintendo is giving away with every Mario Kart 8.

The E3 Hype Train continues to roll along as Christian asks what percentage of exciting announcements will actually be playable at the show.

In the Playlist, Garnett is almost finished with Last Story on Wii and has some strong feelings about Heroes of the Storm, Christian loves loving Wolfenstein: New Order, and Jeff is interdependently enjoying some independent releases, Super Time Force and Transistor. Plus, pre-E3 thoughts on Evolve and Civ: Beyond Earth.

Tabletop Time has Jeff amped to finally play Marvel Dice Masters, and he's got a lot to say. Plus, Garnett digs Bigger Blacker Cards Against Humanity.

He is buzzing about the Wizards of the Coast news, both their announcement of an official release date for D&D Next, and their copyright infringement lawsuit against Cryptozoic Entertainment. May 12, 2014 at 3:00PM • 1 hour 41 minutes

Jeff and Christian welcome Julian Murdoch from Gamers With Jobs to DLC this week, and he's excited about Unreal Tournament returning after a 7 year hiatus! Christian is "amped" for the new Sunset Overdrive gameplay trailer, but he and Julian gang up on Jeff and tell him Nintendo hasn't done anything right since SNES, especially in light of their $238 million loss this quarter, desperate new Pokemon games announcement, and late-to-the-party adoption of NFC figure product line. Jeff is still excited about VR, and loves that Oculus wants to use their Facebook money to shoot for a 1 billion user VR MMO! Oh, and Birdly. Plus, could Darksiders be coming back?

The HYPE TRAIN for E3 is starting early this year, as Jeff and Christian start their predictions this week, with more coming each week we get closer to E3. Which console will likely have an exclusive that will get you most excited?

Meanwhile, Christian is intrigued by leaks, leaks, leaks, including the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfighter leak-turned-announcement and From Software's Project Beast leak-stayed-leak.
